BAYFIELD COUNTY PLANNING AND ZONING COMMITTEE
JULY 21, 2022, AT 4:00 P.M.
BOARD ROOM, COUNTY COURTHOUSE
WASHBURN, WISCONSIN
The Bayfield County Planning and Zoning Committee of the County Board of Supervisors
will hold a public hearing on Thursday, July 21, 2022, at 4:00 P.M. in the Board Room of
the Bayfield County Courthouse in Washburn, Wisconsin relative to the following:
Town of Cable, owner and Malcolm Haag, agent request an EIA approval and a
conditional use permit to continue operating an existing non-metallic mine in a municipal
zoning district. Property consists of two (2) parcels. Parcel #1 is a 23-acre parcel (Tax
ID# 9019); described as SW ¼ of the SE ¼, in Doc. #200482, less V. 235 P. 232; and
Parcel #2 is a 17-acre parcel (Tax ID# 9020); described as parcel in SW ¼ of the SE ¼
in V.421 P. 8; both located in Section 22, Township 43 North, Range 7 West, Town of
Cable, Bayfield County, WI. Included in this request will be the requirement(s) of the reclamation
plan, which will be addressed separately.
Immediately following the public hearing, the Bayfield County Planning and Zoning
Committee may approve, modify and approve, or disapprove the proposed items and/or
amendments and formulate and adopt its recommendations to the Bayfield County Board
of Supervisors with respect thereto (if applicable).

All interested parties are invited to attend said hearing to be heard. Any person wishing
to attend who, because of a disability, requires special accommodations, should contact

meeting time, so appropriate arrangements can be made. Immediately after the public
hearing, the Planning and Zoning Committee will hold its regular monthly meeting.
