BAYFIELD COUNTY PLANNING AND ZONING COMMITTEE
SEPTEMBER 19, 2024, AT 4:00 P.M.

The Bayfield County Planning and Zoning Committee of the County Board of Supervisors will
hold a public hearing on Thursday, September 19, 2024, at 4:00 P.M. in the Board Room of
the Bayfield County Courthouse in Washburn, Wisconsin relative to the following:
Mathy Construction Co, owner and Jeffery Johnson, agent request a conditional use
permit to operate a Cement & Concrete Products Mfg (Sales, Storage); Paving-batch (Plant
for Cement, Asphalt) Products, Processing to include a temporary portable crushing
operation, temporary portable redi-mix concrete plant, and temporary portable asphalt plant.
Property is a Forestry-1 zoning district; a 20–acre parcel (Tax ID# 15493), described as that
part of NE ¼ of the SW ¼ lying SELY of Abandoned Railroad in Document #2006R-507115,
in Section 9, Township 47 North, Range 5 West, Town of Eileen, Bayfield County, WI.
G L Sandstrom Enterprises LLC, owner and Patricia Sandstrom, agent request a
conditional use permit (w/wetlands present) to renew and continue operating the existing
Nonmetallic Mine. Property is a Forestry-1 zoning district; a 40–acre parcel (Tax ID# 22959),
described as the NW ¼ of the SE ¼, in Document # 2015R-557400, in Section 27, Township
45 North, Range 5 West, Town of Lincoln, Bayfield County, WI. Included in this request will be
the requirement(s) of the reclamation plan, which will be addressed separately.
Immediately following the public hearing, the Bayfield County Planning and Zoning
Committee may approve, modify and approve, or disapprove the proposed items and/or
proposed amendments and formulate and adopt its recommendations to the Bayfield County
Board of Supervisors with respect thereto (if applicable).

All interested parties are invited to attend said hearing to be heard. Any person wishing to

Planning and Zoning Committee will hold its regular monthly meeting.
