Mason. Keystone Township. McKenzie, It looks like you cover Keystone Township. Spoke with Todd Norwood last year about installing lattice panels along my property in Keystone Township (16980 Cabin Road, Mason) for privacy and support of plants. (FYI - I've been issued a permit for a garage if you want to look me up). He said not permitted by Bayfield Co. and I also checked with Keystone Township. Also no concern. Two questions 1. 1 wish to install another one similar but wider to the pict (14ft wide x 8 ft. high) closer to Spider Lake >35 feet but <75 feet from the Lake and approximately 5 feet setback from neighbors property line. It's approximately 50 ft from the Ordinary High Water Mark from the near shore end. The ones installed are approx.. 100 ft from the OHW of the lake). Will this require a permit or am I good without? 2. Next question, I obtained a survey of my property last November— It's newly registered with Bayfield Co. I have a strong suspicion my neighbor to the west Al Traber (16970 Cabin Rd) removed the center monument along our common boundary. I'm going up in a few weeks with a metal detector to see if I can find it. If not there I plan on involving law enforcement and no doubt it will come to a head. Todd Norwood was telling me last year Bayfield Co issued Mr. Traber a letter stating that he has a survey and does not need another one. Yeah no problem we all know this, Todd thought it an odd request from Mr. Traber. Both surveys (Mr. Traber's 1994 and my new 2021 survey aligned perfectly with all three common monuments in place and where they should be). Can I get a copy of that letter to show enforcement Mr. Traber knew exactly where the monuments are if need be. It's a longer story with more history involved I'd be glad to share with you if you'd like. But for now can 1 just have a copy of that letter. I assume it's public. j Thanks Much.
