All Land Use Permits expire Two (2) Years from the date of issuance if construction or use has not begun. Sanitary Permit
issuance, if required, needs to occur prior to Land Use Permit issuance. Failure to obtain a permit or starting construction without a
permit will result in penalties.
The local Town, Village, City, State or Federal agencies may also require permits. The new construction of one- & two-family
dwellings requires review and approval by the local Uniform Dwelling Code (UDC) authority. Additions and alterations to one -
and two-family dwellings may require review and approval by the UDC authority. All municipalities are required to enforce the
UDC.
If subject property is part of a Condominium Plat, applicant hereby certifies and represents that applicant has all necessary
approvals and recorded documents required to complete the project for which this permit is sought including requirements set forth
in Wisconsin statutes pertaining to condominium associations, the Declaration of the Condominium Association in which the

In orderto calculate the fees for your permit, the square footage of the conversion will be required. If you are
not converting the entire space, you only need to write down the square footage of what is being converted.

Well mappingthe deed didn'tyield a straightforward answer.
When I look back at the original parcel mapping notes, the area that bumps out of the ROW is there. However, it
does not match the curvature of the ROW plat from 2009 (you have that printed page). Scott suggested that we
reach out to the DOT office in Superior to inquire about the latest ROW plat for this stretch of road.
Another note is there's some parcel shifting in this area.
IT keep you posted on anything else we discover here. Feel free to stop by LR again if that's helpful. Thanks!

I appreciate your review.
I had Tracy Poolerthe Assistant Zoning Administrator for Barnes look at this application because I was notfeeting
confident about my response to you. He went to the site at my request yesterday and we reviewed the attached
DOT plat. Also attached is an aerial map of the propertywhere he noted the Chequamegon Communication
pedestal (the pedestal is shown on the DOT plat on the right-of-way line) was in alignment with the fence and the
fence was 40 feet from the existing structure.
We determined based on the attached DOT plat and the site visit that the existing structure is 40 feet from the
highway right-of-way.
That makes the existing structure nonconforming because it does not meet the required 50-foot right-of-way
setback. We wanted to share this with you as Bayf laid County Zoning Ordinance Section 13-1-40(d) would apply
and anyfuture expansions would need to conform to this section.
We will note the existing structure is nonconforming on the permit card we issue later this week.

right-of-way but it is assumed that the GIS parcel boundaries shown on the map could be due to a mapping error.
The Land Records Department is going to review. Given this, the department is going to move forward based on

Typically, we require a survey of a property line if a setback will be within 10 feet of the required. The required
ROW setback is 50 feet for this property. That is why I was asking whether you had had the lot surveyed.
The department reviewed the prior permits approved, and the previous structure permitted was indicated to be
75 feet from the ROW line.
