Sanitary Permit issuance, if required, needs to occur prior to Land Use Permit issuance. Failure to obtain a permit or starting construction without a permit will result in penalties. The local Town, Village, City, State or Federal agencies may also require permits. The new construction of one- & two-family dwellings requires review and approval by the local Uniform Dwelling Code (UDC) authority. Additions and alterations to one - and two-family dwellings may require review and approval by the UDC authority. All municipalities are required to enforce the UDC. The big questions will be when I can start. I haven't contacted a concrete contractor yet for the slab and I'm not sure how booked on they are. I will begin that process of clearing the site and getting bids for the slab once I have the zoning permit. I will be the contractor for the rest of of the construction. A couple items need to be addressed before I can issue a permit. • The application mentioned that the project was 1.5 stories. I don't have dollar amount handy but you should have the check and it should be applied to that permit. One for relocating the exempt structure for $215. We won't be going forward with that permit so it can be torn up. Please itemize the total for the garage permit so I know what is owed relative to the check you currently have.
