This form should include the square footage of any driveways, patios, roofs, etc (essentially any hard or compacted surfaces). I've attached the form and once you complete it, you can email it back to me and I'll review it, and then we can proceed with issuing your permit. There is an additional $25 fee for any property that requires an impervious surface form. Since you are in the Shorelands area, any structure, even if it's temporary requires a permit. So we would require a Land Use Permit for the sauna. On your application, you would note down how long you intend to keep it on your property. If you were pulling the sauna on and off the property every weekend, it would not require a Land Use Permit. But if you are keeping it there for several months, then it would. I can't remember how far the concrete slab is, but if it is at least 75 feet from the water, then it should meet all setbacks. One more question if I may. I've got a mobile sauna on a trailer bed that I currently use at our Ashland house and I'd like to pull it out to the cabin for the summer and park it on the existing concrete slab just south of the asphalt parking/driveway. Is there something I need to do for a temporary siting such as this? It would be up on blocks.
