Township 43 North, Range 06 West, Section 11, Township of Namakagon, Bayfield County, Wisconsin. Tax ID: 24582. Parcel ID: 04-034-2-43-06-11-2 05-003-50000. Disclaimer 1: This plan is not intended to serve as a basis for approval or denial of a permit application. Disclaimer 2: This plan is limited in scope to examining the shoreline vegetative buffer and the amount of impervious surface on the property. In no way should this plan be construed, interpreted, or used as any sort of approval of a project or a proof -positive statement that there will be no impact on a land or water resource. This plan is only meant to satisfactorily satisfy the condition set forth in the Bayfield County Zoning Ordinance that mitigation and/or stormwater management needs to occur if a property triggers certain criteria (see Bayfield County Zoning Ordinance Section 13-1-40, Article C (g)). Dear Randal, Theresa, and Jacqueline, On May 2, 2025, I visited your property and discussed a few things with Randal, about what would be needed to satisfy the conditions of your Bayfield County Planning & Zoning Department permit application. Since your property is over the allowable amount of 15% impervious surface (you currently have 26.18%), you will need to install several practices to infiltrate and treat stormwater. We did discuss that your deck board spacing was %a inch or greater with no impervious surface underneath it, and that other walkways would be removed, so those things do not need to be included in your impervious surface calculations. The stormwater management plan shall be completed by the date specified by Zoning, or within twelve months of project completion if no date is specified by Zoning. Due to the number and variety of practices that will need to be installed, and the proximity of everything on your lot, I strongly advise calling Digger's Hotline before beginning installation. I will use the site map you provided with your Zoning permit application to draw the locations of the practices, in addition to listing the location descriptions below: 1. Install a rain garden near the western corner of the proposed shed location. Install gutters on the shed and direct the downspouts to the rain garden. This rain garden will only need to infiltrate and treat stormwater from this shed, and since this area has a gentle slope with sandy/stony soil, it can have an area of 73 square feet with a depth of 5 inches. See Our Mission: To assist the public in protecting, enhancing, and restoring the natural resources of Bayfield County enclosures and site plan for more information about sizing, construction, and what plant species to use. 2. Install a rock infiltration trench along the entire southwestern dripline of the existing garage to capture runoff from that side of the garage roof. See enclosures and site plan for sizing, placement, and construction. 3. Install a rock infiltration pit at the southeastern side (lakeside) of the existing garage and direct the gutter downspout from the northeastern side of the garage roof down into it. Place the pit on as flat an area as possible to prevent soil erosion by any water that overflows. See enclosures and site plan for sizing, placement, and construction. 4. Install a rain garden between the house and the northeastern lot line, and downslope of the well. Place the rain garden at least 10 feet from the house, 8 feet from the well, and do not place it over any utilities. Direct the gutter downspouts from the landward and lakeward sides of the house down to the rain garden by using drain tile to connect them. 5. Install a water diversion berm, or "speed bump", on the asphalt foot path that leads down to lake, at the large elbow curve. Place it so that the water flow can divert directly into a rock infiltration pit next to the path. Their locations and size are marked on the site map. You will also need to contact Bayfield County Zoning about recording an affidavit with the Bayfield County Register of Deeds office. Along with this affidavit, you will need to provide a site plan that demonstrates where each of these practices will be installed and the dimensions of each. Copies of the site plan shall also be filed with Zoning and the Bayfield County Land & Water Conservation Department. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me. Zoning Dept. RE: Mitigation/Stormwater Management plan for your land use permit at your property on Lake Namakagon, described as 2 PAR IN GOVT LOT 3 IN V.1008 P.854 381F. We did discuss that your deck board spacing was `/4 inch or greater with no impervious surface underneath it, and that other wallcways would be removed, so those things do not need to be included in your impervious surface calculations. Install a rain garden near the western comer of the proposed shed location. Copies of the site plan shall also be filed with Zoning and the Bayfield County Land & p Water Conservation Department.
