All Land Use Permits expire Two (2) Years from the date of issuance if construction or use has not begun. Sanitary Permit
issuance, if required, needs to occur prior to Land Use Permit issuance. Failure to obtain a permit or starting construction without a
permit will result in penalties.
The local Town, Village, City, State or Federal agencies may also require permits. The new construction of one- & two-family
dwellings requires review and approval by the local Uniform Dwelling Code (UDC) authority. Additions and alterations to one -
and two-family dwellings may require review and approval by the UDC authority. All municipalities are required to enforce the
UDC.
If subject property is part of a Condominium Plat, applicant hereby certifies and represents that applicant has all necessary
approvals and recorded documents required to complete the project for which this permit is sought including requirements set forth
in Wisconsin statutes pertaining to condominium associations, the Declaration of the Condominium Association in which the
property is located, and all other rules, regulations and requirements pertaining to that Condominium Association.
You are responsible for complying with state and federal laws concerning construction near or on wetlands, lakes, and streams.
Wetlands that are not associated with open water can be difficult to identify. Failure to comply may result in removal or

As you know, the Bayfield County Planning and Zoning Committee conducted a public hearing /
meeting on November 20, 2025, where the Committee reviewed your application for the above
mentioned. After discussion and review, the Planning and Zoning Committee approved your
request with conditions based upon town board recommendation and it is good for the
community to find a place to store the groomer.
The approval includes the following:

o Granted: Conditional use permit to construct a garage for equipment storage in a
Residential -Recreational Business (R-RB) zoning district on 0.53 acres of tax ID 35429
with the following conditions:
➢ The garage be used for storage of trail equipment;
➢ All lighting must be in line with Dark Sky best practices with downward -facing lighting;
➢ If there is any change in use other than storing equipment, a new permit is required.
Congratulations on obtaining this approval. Be advised, any aggrieved party has the right to
appeal this decision to the Board of Adjustment within thirty (30) days.
Enclosed is a copy of the affidavit prepared by this department setting forth the terms and
conditions of your permit. Your $30 check and the original affidavit will be taken to the Register
of Deeds Office for recording. After recordation, your permit card will be mailed to you provided
all requirements have been met and/or submitted.

Any person aggrieved by a decision of the Planning and Zoning Director and/or Planning and
Zoning Committee may request a public hearing before the Board of Adjustment. The appeal
notice shall be filed with the Planning and Zoning Director within thirty (30) days after written
notice of the order or decision appealed from was sent by first class mail to the aggrieved party.
