The Bayfield County Forestry and Parks Committee will meet on Monday, February 10, 2025 at 6:00
p.m. in the County Board Room of the Courthouse in Washburn, Wisconsin. This meeting will be held
in-person.
The agenda for this meeting is as follows:
1. Call to Order.
2. Public Comment – Limited to 3 minutes per person. 15 minutes total.
3. Approval of the January 13, 2025 Meeting Minutes.
4. Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). Topside Lake Properties. Discussion and possible
action on an MOU between Bayfield County and the Bayfield County 4-H Leaders Association
regarding property located near Topside Lake, in the Town of Iron River.
5. Knowles-Nelson Stewardship Grant Application for the Acquisition of County Forest Land.
Discussion and possible action regarding approval of the Stewardship grant application for county
forest land acquisition.
6. Monthly Reports. Discussion of general activities, events, issues and accomplishments. Possible
action on the report(s) only.
a) Forestry (all updates):
a. 2025 Budget.
b. Carbon Project.
c. Other Land Acquisition Projects.
i. BCPL 40 acres.
ii. Iron River/Maki Community Forest.
iii. Whittlesey Creek.
d. Herbicide Overspray Update.
e. Barrens Management.
f. WCFA Special License Plate.
g. WCFA Board Member Update.
b) Campgrounds and Day Use Parks.
