The Bayfield County Forestry and Parks Committee will meet on Monday, March 10, 2025 at 6:00 p.m.
in the County Board Room of the Courthouse in Washburn, Wisconsin. This meeting will be held in-
person.
The agenda for this meeting is as follows:
1. Call to Order.
2. Public Comment – Limited to 3 minutes per person. 15 minutes total.
3. Approval of the February 10, 2025 Meeting Minutes.
4. Research Request. University of Illinois Department of Natural Resources and Environmental
Sciences. Discussion and possible action regarding a request to install temporary radio antennas
to track banded birds.
5. Barrens Management Plan. Discussion and possible action regarding modifications to the barrens
management plan.
6. Monthly Reports. Discussion of general activities, events, issues and accomplishments. Possible
action on the report(s) only.
a) Forestry (all updates):
a. 2025 Budget.
b. Carbon Project.
c. Land Acquisition Projects.
i. Stewardship Application.
ii. BCPL 40 Acres.
iii. Iron River/Maki Community Forest.
iv. Whittlesey Creek.
d. Barnes Barrens Lepidoptera Survey Report.
e. Herbicide Overspray Update.
f. WCFA Board Member Update.
b) Campgrounds and Day Use Parks.
