The Bayfield County Forestry and Parks Committee will meet on Monday, June 9, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. in
the County Board Room of the Courthouse in Washburn, Wisconsin. This meeting will be held in-
person.
The agenda for this meeting is as follows:
1. Call to Order.
2. Public Comment – Limited to 3 minutes per person. 15 minutes total.
3. Approval of the May 12, 2025 Meeting Minutes.
4. Resolution: 2025 Budget Amendment. Accepting a DNR Knowles-Nelson Stewardship Grant
and Expenditures for the Replacement of County Forest Lands. Discussion and possible action
regarding the resolution.
5. Future Land Acquisition Goals and Priorities. Discussion regarding the development of goals and
priorities for future land acquisition projects.
6. Monthly Reports. Discussion of general activities, events, issues and accomplishments. Possible
action on the report(s) only.
a) Forestry (all updates):
a. 2025 Budget.
b. 2026 Budget.
c. Carbon Project.
d. Land Acquisition Projects.
i. Iron River/Maki Community Forest.
ii. Whittlesey Creek.
iii. Siskiwit River.
e. WCFA Board Member Update.
b) Campgrounds and Day Use Parks.
c) Trails and Recreation (all updates):
a. Motorized Trails.
