The Bayfield County Forestry and Parks Committee will meet on Monday, July 14, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. in
the County Board Room of the Courthouse in Washburn, Wisconsin. This meeting will be held in-
person.
The agenda for this meeting is as follows:
1. Call to Order.
2. Public Comment – Limited to 3 minutes per person. 15 minutes total.
3. Approval of the June 9, 2025 Meeting Minutes.
4. Presentation. Matt Dallman, The Nature Conservancy and Forrest Gibeault, Aurora Sustainable
Lands. Support for the State of Wisconsin to apply for Federal Funding through the Forest
Legacy Program to place a Working Forest Conservation Easement on Aurora Sustainable Lands
Properties. Discussion and possible action on the request for support.
5. Monthly Reports. Discussion of general activities, events, issues and accomplishments. Possible
action on the report(s) only.
a) Forestry (all updates):
a. 2025 Budget.
b. 2026 Budget.
c. Carbon Project.
d. Land Acquisition Projects.
i. Knowles-Nelson Stewardship.
ii. Whittlesey Creek.
iii. Siskiwit River.
e. WCFA Board Member Update.
b) Campgrounds and Day Use Parks.
a. RFP for Conceptual Planning and Design.
i. Big Rock.
ii. Topside Lake.
iii. Fire Hill.
