Hi Ruth, Here's the answers to your questions in the previous email. I will make the trip next week to Washburn to get the Land Use Permit in with a check for fees. If there are any other questions please let me know. Have you connected with the Drummond Sanitary District to obtain approval to connect to public water and sewer or will a private well and sewer serve the future laundry facility? Yes I've submitted an application for connection for service. I have inquired about waste water treatment, there is none for the type of service I have. Has the town road authority approved the access to Wisconsin Ave. and Motor Ln. shown on the site plan? Verbally, yes. I spoke with MarkJermome, the Public Works Director, he and the crew wilt be looking at it. I have submitted the application with the fee. What is the 30 -foot measurement on the site plan indicating? Indicating the driveway setback for the requirement. Do you know how long the existing tax parcels have existed in their current configuration? Typically parcels this small would have been required to be platted unless their configuration existed prior to the town adopting zoning on July 14, 1976. The survey I had completed has indicated that notes matched better with the deed than with Thomas Nelson's survey completed in 1971. Then later in that note it has been stated that the original iron pipe was found from 1921 of theTownsite of Drummond's original plat. Need to confirm number of off-street parking stalls, the drawing shows 6. Is that the correct number proposed? Six is correct. We will only have 8 sets of washer/dryers. What will the hours of operations be? We will be open 7 days a week. 6-9pm. I intend on having time locks on the doors. Is any lighting proposed? Yes, low light pollution mounted to the building. Xcel has a light on a pole there now. The electrician's quote states a flat panel ceiling grid fixture for interior and general exterior lighting as well as specific outlets for future interior signs, vending, tv, and miscellaneous. Is any outdoor storage anticipated? No. Will any garbage be generated by the use? If yes, how wilt it be disposed of? Yes, I will use Waste Management for pick up service of a small 4 yard dumpster. Will the use create any noise above 70 decibels? Yes, a typical commercial dryer is 60-75 decibels. There will be 8 dryers. Normal vacuum cleaners range 70. The dryers will be in an enclosed building. State of Wisconsin Permits/requirements: I will have my contractor work on the ones that are required of him to set up during construction's inspection. The other's like requirements on weight, measures and timers, i will take care of as soon as necessary. 2 riFEE: $20.00 TOWN OF DRUMMOND, BAYFIELD COUNTY HIGHWAY ACCESS PERMIT AND TOWN DRIVEWAY PERMIT APPLICATION FORM Inasmuch as Chapter 86.07(2) of Wisconsin Statutes states that "No person shall make any excavation or fill or install any culvert..in any highway... without a permit therefore from the highway authority maintaining the highway...", the undersigned request a permit for the purpose OfJD111%ll f pd OS' twn t f,I AL Yrnoiis On a Town Road named u &,i.UiJ Wt, located _ miles (north — south — cast — west) of its junction with 110(Ctt- IA' in Section — Town — North, Range _ West, in the Town of Drummond, Hayfield County. The use is proposed to be located on Tax IDs 14534 and 15201, hereinafter referred to as the subject property. The subject property is comprised of approximately 0.531 acres and is currently undeveloped. The subject property is zoned Commercial (C). Adjacent properties to the North, South, East, and West are zoned C. There are no mapped floodplains or wetlands on the subject property, and it is not located in the shoreland district. There is a multiple family residence to the East, to the North is a dilapidated structure, and South is a wooded tree line with commercial structures further South. The subject property abuts Motor Ln. to the North and Wisconsin Ave. to the West. The applicant is wishing to construct a 32' x 34' building with a parking area that includes six off-street park stalls. The parking area has driveway connections to Wisconsin Ave. and Motor Ln. The applicant has obtained approval to connect to the Drummond Sanitary District. The laundromat is expected to be open 7 days a week, 6:00 am to 9:00 pm. No outdoor storage is proposed aside from a small garbage dumpster. Exterior lighting and signage are anticipated. To date, no town recommendation or public correspondence has been received. Department Recommendation: If the town approves, the department recommends that the Committee approve the special use B permit request to allow the owner to construct a 32' x 34' laundry building and parking area. This is based upon the use being partially compatible with the adjacent residential and commercial properties, limited impacts on natural resources given the absence of mapped floodplains or wetlands and navigable waterways, and lack of opposition from the public. The department recommends the following conditions be added: • Hours of operation 6:00 am to 9:00 pm • All exterior lighting must follow Dark Sky best management practices, facing downward • No outdoor storage aside from garage and recycling If the Committee approves the special use B permit as submitted, any future expansions or changes would require a new special use B permit and input from the town and public would be sought.
