RECEIVED APR 16 2026 45030 Cty Road D, Namakagon Bayfield Co. Demolition and Grading Project Description planningaeJzu.,ngAgenaY General: Remove old cabin, clear trees and rocks, and regrade building pad to walkout elevation in preparation for future building. Include the lakeside open area which today is very uneven and also has some rocks. Some of this work will be in close proximity to the property line. My neighbor is aware of the upcoming work and understands that removing some of the trees, rocks and stumps near the property line may disturb this ground a bit. Whatever gets disturbed will be repaired during regrading. Old Cabin: Demolish 22'x24' shack and dispose of debris by best means Some details: No buried foundation, just blocks on grade that are visible South side of this building is ready to collapse, North side is a bit sturdier. Studs are 24" oc in this building, no sheetrock. Everything inside has been removed except for a cast iron tub and pedestal sink. Electrical has been disconnected long ago. May check with Bayfield electric to see if they have a record of this. I had an old diagram from Rasmussen that showed a buried septic tank in the front yard of this building. Not sure if this is true or not. If the tank is still there their should be a drain line going to the leach pit area. If this is present, can we cap or seal off this for possible future reconnection or what would you recommend here please? There is a buried water supply line coming from the other cabin. Locate and cap the end of this line or possible future reconnection please. There is a buried propane supply line coming from the nearby tank. This line can be removed or cut as needed. Tree Removal Remove and dispose of 12 trees as marked in the Phase 1 area. RECEIVE® APR 182026 Stumps Baru co Remove and dispose of the stumps from the 12 removed trees. Planning a,4 Zon;n8A8enc, There is another group of low cut stumps in the center island. Please remove these as well and dispose with the others Rocks There are about XX rocks that are visible. I have marked the visible ones with White Paint. There may be others buried. Please remove all rocks and stockpile for future landscaping use. Include the flat area on the lakeside of this old cabin. The center area may work well for rock stockpile but have a look as to where you think they would be out of the way while work is underway. Regrade After the old cabin, tree, stumps, and rocks have been removed please regrade and set up for a future building with walkout elevation. Details of what this building will be are still being worked out and a separate permit will be prepared for this. Stump removal, rough grade in backlot There are many more tree stumps, 8 trees, and rocks to remove in the backlot. Goal is to clean up this area and begin to construct an improved access and raised building pad for a future building. Erosion Control and ReVegitation The site plan shows locations for placement of straw filled tube type erosion control barriers. Revegitation of the disturbed areas will be immediate. Native plantings near the lakeshore plus turf grass in the more open locations will be cultivated at the fastest possible rate. Thank you. Scott Roush From: Donald Ketcham <dbketcham@gmail.com> Sent: Friday, April 17, 2026 1:43 PM To: Scott Roush Subject: Re: 45030 Cty Rd D, Bayfield County Shoreland Grading Land Use Permit Hi Scott: Thank you for your quick reply. I will expand on the Errosion Control plan portion right away. Lot lines are currently marked by myself using the CSM measurements and previously surveyed locating pins. I will mark the perimeter of the proposed project area immediately so it is more visual. Then would love to have you visit and view the project on site. So the proposed plan does include some area between the 35' line and the shoreline for rock removal . We always maintain a natural vegetative buffer the last 8 or so feet. We would like to dig rocks and maybe stumps out of the space between 8' and the 35' line. No tree removal and the shoreline vegetation and barrier is not going to be disturbed. Then smooth it back out and vegetate so it is nicer for old people walking is what I was hoping for. Just a bit of grass would be disturbed which would be immediately replaced and colorful native plantings are actually planned to be added in the shoreline buffer zone. Silt fencing would be placed just in front of the vegetative barrier just in case. I will make sure not one bit of dirt from excavation gets in the lake but I'll write a plan down better. One Question please: There may be an old septic tank buried in front of this old cabin. Old records are sketchy. I was just going to make the excavator aware of it and have them deal with that possibility if it arises. Any thoughts or things I should be doing on this please? Any day next week for visit to this proposed project at 45030 Cty Rd D in Namakagon would be great. Just let me know when. Thank you Scott. THIS SUR\ UNDER THE DIRECTION OF BILL WALSH. '/L- OG W. MULOCK WISCONSIN LAND SURVEYOR 45030 Cty Road D, Namakagon Demolition and Grading Project Description Updated 4/24/2026 General: Remove old cabin, clear trees and rocks, and regrade building pad to walkout elevation in preparation for future building. Stumps Remove and dispose of the stumps from the 12 removed trees. There is another group of low cut stumps in the center island. Erosion Control and ReVegitation Plan - Updated 4/24/2026 The site plan shows locations for placement of erosion control barriers. Revegitation of the disturbed areas will be immediate. Native plantings near the lakeshore plus turf grass in the more open locations will be cultivated at the fastest possible rate. Details: Disturbed areas of 35' shoreline buffer Area to be Revegitated by best shoreland practices to include: Quick cover by ryegrass. Follow with native cover to be established Conifers such as Red/White pine Native grasses such as Priarie dropseed Wildflowers such as Spotted JoeEyed, Smooth Astor, HoaryVerain Timeframe: Cover grass is immediate Native plants to follow Goal is to retain water runoff with native plantings and excluding turf grass that would need to be watered and mowed.
