Below is the stairway, walkway and rail system part of the ordinance for reference. Also attached are some photos taken during the site visit. • The ordinance allows for one pathway to the lake no wider than 5 feet wide (3 & 9) • The proposed is planned to develop more lands within 35 feet of the water and increase the shoreland viewing and access corridor to the lake. • Per 13-1-23(a)(1) with the ownership that you have, the maximum width of vegetative disturbance is 52 feet. By the equipment, boats and dockage stored on the site the current width is over 60 feet. • The current stairway has a landing platform halfway down that does not aid in safety. (7) • The handrail is solid and is acting as a fence restricting natural movement of animals, (see photo where deer have broken and squeezed through)(5) I have a note sent to our DNR advisor as to some differences in ordinance vs State language and the limitations of the 60 inches, the one path limitation and the potential of nesting the rail system alongside the existing stairs to the south. 13-1-22(a)(5) g.
